This report provides a profile of 6,400 Albertan youth (aged 12 to 17 years) who received intervention services in 2008/09 as a result of maltreatment. Depending on the situation, intervention services may be provided while the youth remainsin the home (out of care services), orthe youth may have to be removed from the home and placed in care because of ongoing and serious safety concerns.
