Abstract: 

This Information Sheet provides an overview of the current policies and programs offered by the federal government for First Nations children and families living on-reserve, summarizing information presented by the Canadian Human Rights Commission to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal on First Nations Child Welfare. The First Nations Child and Family Service program and its various funding formulas are outlined, as well as recommendations for change.
