Children's Aid Foundation; Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth

This report is based on conversations with former and current youth in care in Ontario who are involved in child welfare advocacy. These youth are often seen as success stories, however in their private lives, they describe struggling with poverty, addiction, insecure housing, loneliness, and mental health. The report makes recommendations to improve the long term care goals for youth currently in care and care alumni based on the lived experiences of the "change-makers" who participated in this project.
