Management of Aboriginal Child Protection Services

The Auditor General of British Columbia assessed whether the province’s Ministry of Children and Family Development has the program design, resourcing, management, and accountability reporting to deliver effective, culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal children and families. The Ministry delivers child welfare services through both mainstream and Aboriginal service teams, as well as through Aboriginal and First Nations agencies that provide the services — either fully or in partnership with the Ministry.
