This reports examines the relatively low education outcomes for children in the care of the province of BC. Findings indicate that standardized testing reveals that children with Continuing Custody Orders (COO) are behind their non-COO peers. Drop out rates are high for children in care. Indigenous children in care are more at risk for lower education attainment than non-Indigenous children in care. Recommendations are made to help children in care achieve higher educational attainment.
