Following a series of orders from the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, Canada has started to provide new funding to support the development of First Nations child and family services and prevention programs. Dr. Cindy Blackstock has been named the Canada Research Chair (CRC) in First Nations Child and Family Services Implementation (2023 to 2030).

Dr. Blackstock and her team are examining the structural drivers that disadvantage First Nations children and families. They are also developing tools to support the implementation of culturally appropriate, evidence-based services for First Nations children and families.

The following information sheets developed through the CRC program are designed to share information about established and emerging evidence informed and culturally appropriate services for First Nations children and families.
