Sharon was nine months old when she passed away from undetermined causes. She and her five older siblings had recently been returned to their parents’ care. This review identified the need for the Ministry of Human Services to provide organizational support to its front-line caseworkers when returning children to their parents’ care. This would promote child-focused interventions and safe well-planned transitions for children.
