Report of the Auditor General of Alberta: Human Services - Systems to Deliver Child and Family Services to Indigenous Children in Alberta

The Department of Human Services is responsible for providing child and family services in Alberta. There is an important problem facing the department and the system as it stands today. Indigenous children in Alberta experience several less favourable results than non-Indigenous children. This audit was conducted to examine the systems and processes the department uses to deliver child and family services to Indigenous children in Alberta. It identifies three areas where the department can improve its performance, thereby increasing the chances for Indigenous children who receive services to experience improved results.
