Minister of Social Services and Seniors, Prince Edward Island: 152 pages.

The Child Protection Act requires the Minister of Social Services and Seniors to appoint an advisory committee once every three years to review the operation and administration of the Act, and to report on whether its principles and purposes are being achieved.

More than 500 Islanders participated in public consultations across the province or offered written submissions to the review committee. The consultations included sessions with young people in the care of the Director of Child Welfare, community youth groups, school counsellors, aboriginal communities, foster families, social workers, educators, and justice representatives.
